I really love this pub. It feels more country-pub like than some of the other pubs in Trowbridge. They do brilliant food here, especially the roasts!

The pub hasnt been open a year and already the new owners Sally and Simon Tyler have won the CAMRA Community Pub of the Year Award. Thats thanks to the choice of beers, how well maintained they are and also the smooth, friendly service.
Help the pub celebrate its first birhday on SATURDAY 26TH.

ReportWith the new owners running Melkshams Somerset Arms for a year, we thought it was time to investigate and took ourselves off there one sunny Friday lunchtime. Inside the pub is all very glam and minimalist with squishy sofas and lots of local Stowford Press and Thatchers Gold cider on offer. Food is served all day and we chose scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and Thai mussels. The eggs and smoked salmon came on a ciabbata that was slightly dry but otherwise tasted gorgeous. The rope mussels were tiny and tasty and the Thai broth they came in just slightly zangy; just right for a lunchtime treat.
