The ones on the duck pond is that? If so, it's awful down there! The last time I went down there it was full of rubbish and a smell lingers - such a shame!

Yes that's the one, I dont understand how the council can stop maintaining something like that, maybe whatever they are building in the old tesco site will take responsibility for that area ?!

The Council subcontract the care of the pond to English Landscapes last time I looked into it - I wrote this story - http://tinyurl.com/46t3fjw back in October and found that the Council had looked into the pond before and were happy the situation was sorted. It's clear that it's a sistuation that is going to continue.
I'm the same as you and can remember it being much nicer - it should still be a location for children to enjoy.

Totally agree, nice post and exactly my thoughts, they can hardly blame the hot weather for it this weekend as we are only just leaving winter ! perhaps some ongoing maintenance is needed in that area.

ReportThanks :) I'll keep an eye out for more information on it. As we get into the summer months they should be sorting it out - the park is known as the 'People's Park' after all, it should be kept maintained so that people do use it.

I didn't know there used to be fountains in the park. Seems a shame as you say that the council cannot maintain the park and its features.

ReportDown at the bottom Kim, pretty much under Tesco bridge - they used to be like sprays shooting up - should be a lovely part of Trowbridge, but has been ruined over the years.
