The police are out in force in Trowbridge today after an attempted armed robbery at the Cheque Interchange in Castle Street at around 11.10 this morning. The robber fled empty handed after threatening staff with a shotgun.
When I was out and about earlier, police were everywhere and the police helicopter was flying overhead assisting with trying to find the robber.
According to the Wiltshire Times, the suspect is described as “a light skinned male, in his late 40s or early 50s, wearing a beige baseball cap, blue jacket, with red clothing on underneath, and dark trousers.”
We will give you more information as we hear anything.

I was just on the Wiltshire Police site seeing if they had any advice over firework safety, and discovered they've posted pictures of the man who attempted to rob the Cheque Interchange:
