Thanks to hundreds of volunteers who have come forward, all of Wiltshire's libraries will remain open, so if there was any fear about Trowbridge, we can be save in the knowledge that our library is now safe.

Trowbridge library to stay open.
At a time when some local authorities are closing libraries due to government cuts, Wiltshire Council has made it their aim to safeguard all 31 of the county's libraries, ensuring they remain at the heart of local communities, the Wiltshire Council website states.
Luckily for Trowbridge, and the rest of the libraries in the area, following a major review of the library service, Wiltshire libraries' new opening hours will start from Monday, 5th September and we don't lose too much time on ours.
The hours will be as follows:
Monday
10.00am to 7.00pm
Tuesday
9.00am to 5.00pm
Wednesday
9.00am to 1.00pm
Thursday
9.00am to 7.00pm
Friday
9.00am to 7.00pm
Saturday
9.00am to 5.00pm
Sunday
Closed (Closed)
All five of its mobile routes will continue to take the service to the county's most rural communities and with help from more than 300 volunteers the 10 smallest libraries will also remain open.
Deputy leader of the council, John Thomson, said: "I would like to thank local people who have played a huge part in helping to keep all our libraries open. It is wonderful our libraries are so well supported and I hope people continue to use the excellent facilities which they offer."
