Trowbridge Weather: Gale Force Winds Cause Problems in Town

The first few days of 2012 have seen some strong winds and heavy showers, causing going back to work after the festive period a problem.

Winds picked up speed as fast as 112mph in some areas of the country.

Trowbridge traffic was built up across many roads including the road in Staverton, by the factory, after a tree fell into the road.

Rain has also caused minor flooding in Trowbridge but has not been reported to be causing disruption on the roads.

Tiles from houses and garage doors have been damaged by the strong winds too.
