Yersterday, at midday, two men were fined for travelling without a ticket and were warned by police.
Over the last few years, train companies have been testing ways to lower the number of fare dodgers by selecting stations to catch them out.
Bath Spa was one of the first stations within the West to be a penalty fare station. Customers who are travelling without a valid ticket are warned by frequent announcements to pay for the right to travel.

Me too. It's basically the same as shop lifting. Someone gives you a service and they expect to be paid. I'm so glad tighter regulations are being put in. Naomi.

ReportI saw this happen! The two guys were trying so hard not to look embarrassed but they just looked silly. Always buy a ticket folks! Not worth the hefty fine!
