Trowbridge Players are rehearsing for their upcoming production of William Shakespeare's Macbeth.

The amateur dramatic society have been rehearing their adaptation of 'the cursed play' for two months and will be shown at the Arc Theatre at the end of the month.

The local based drama society have taken a traditional approach to the play. Set in Scotland, Macbeth is greeted by witches who predict that he will become king. Through many twists and turns, jealousy and murder, Macbeth is said to be one of Shakespeare's eeriest plays.

Despite the challenges performing a Shakespeare play can have, Director Sylvia Seaman is determined to put on a show that will leave audiences gripped to their seats.

She said: "It has always been a dream of mine to put on this show."

David Seaman is playing the role of Macbeth and Angela Giddings is the spine tingling Lady Macbeth.

Performances will be running from 28th September-1st October 2011.

Tickets are £8.50 and concessions £6.

Tickets can be purchased from The Arc Theatre directly or phone: 0845 299 0476.
