A Trowbridge man has been sentenced to 32 months in prison after carrying out an armed robbery at Tescos Petrol Station on New Year's Eve.

Roy Osbourne, 50, was armed with a knife and demanded money to be handed over.

Osbourne left the petrol station with about £150.

Police were called to the scene and later, with a description, arrested Osbourne and found the cash and knife on him.

He was sentenced at Swindon Crown Court after pleading guilty Friday, 10, 2012.

No one was injured during the robbery.
