A man from Trowbridge was saved after his rowing boat capsized and rescued from the Atlantic.
-
The boat reportedly capsized due to rough seas.
Simon Brown was aiming for a world record by rowing 3,500 miles and was 500 miles off completion before his boat gave up and a rescue operation followed.
The capsizing of the boat is reported to have been caused by horrendous weather conditions and their systems failing.
There were six men on board and all were rescued from the water without complications.
The world record challenge was also raising money for Childline.
We wish Simon all the best.

It is quite crazy and must've been so scary to be in the middle of the ocean and just waiting for rescue. Naomi.
