Stay Safe in the Sun

As Trowbridge is heating up, it is hard to believe it is autumn.
-
Stay cool under the trees in Trowbridge Park.
However, UV rays are still a high threat to our skin as the heatwave is predicted to get even hotter.
As most of us would like to get out in the sun and enjoy the weather before the wintery weather heads our way, please remember to keep safe in the sun.
Helpful tips:
- Use at least SPF 15 sun cream on your skin, similar to what you would wear in summer.
- Sunglasses to protect your eyes.
- Sun hat if exposing yourself to the sun especially in the centre of Trowbridge as there is not much shade.
- Have fun!
Sunburnt from today's heat?
Run yourself a cool bath and add half a pint of milk to it. The lacto acid in milk takes the sting away from sunburn and speeds up the healing process.
Although this doesn't protect you from skin complications, it will at least give you some comfort when you sleep.
Happy Tuesday everyone!
