Ok, so 2012 started almost a month ago now but anyone can make a resolution or aim for something even if you're starting at the end of January!

Trowbridge has some great facilities and a wide range of activities to help you feel better, healthier and happier.

I've recently taken on swimming at the Trowbridge Sports Centre at Clarendon College. It is a relaxing activity which works every bit of your body and helps circulate endorphins to keep you smiling for longer.

The swimming pool is now doing a rewards scheme to keep people driven with their reward card. Each time you attend a swimming session, they stamp your card. Once you have ten stamps, you'll receive not one, but two free swimming sessions. As I enjoy swimming I am definitely looking forward to the freebies! The cost for a non-member is £3.60 per session.

The Sports Centre also provides a range of other sporting activities such as: badminton, football and squash. You can book a court in advance and get fit with your friends!

The Castle Place Leisure Centre is great for those who want to tone their bodies. Their gym is packed with advanced sporting equipment and they offer a range of personal training sessions so you can make the most out of your work out and find out what is best for your body. Membership costs £36 a month which also includes unlimited use of the swimming pool at Clarendon College.

Feel like this sounds like hard work than fun? Run England is an organisation encouraging people of all ages to start running. At 2pm at Southwick Country Park this Friday, Run England will be launching a run around the Country Park. Get a group of friends and have a giggle!
