An aviation company is planning to make a move to Trowbridge which will create more jobs and the restoration of a historical building in the town centre.

The manufacturing company is hoping to move into the old Terry's club on Hill Street which has been under scaffolding for a few years.

The proposal will be submitted in May and if successful, the company could begin business as soon as the end of this year.

If plans are given permission it is proposed that this will create 35 jobs within the business.

Over the last few years Trowbridge has seen businesses come and go.

Do you think this will improve Trowbridge's job prospects? Comment below!

I agree, it is so difficult to find a job in Trowbridge at the moment that people end up getting jobs which requires a long commute. I really hope this brings new businesses here. Px

Any manufacturing business looking to set up in Trowbridge has got to be good news, and if it brings technical jobs with it even better. We rely too much on retail and the service sector for jobs, and manufacturing needs all the help it can get. Hopefully the Council will support this company in its' endeavours.
